St. Brigid’s Day

The 1st of February is a special date in the Irish calendar. It is the feast day of St. Brigid, it also marks Imbolg, as well as the start of Spring. The boys celebrated St. Brigid’s Day today in school in many ways – some classes logged on to a Zoom presentation to hear about the story of St. Brigid from the Wexford Educational Centre, some made St. Brigid’s crosses from reeds, paper and straws others coloured St. Brigid’s colourful cloak!
