Every day at school, junior and senior infants take part in Aistear, a time for the younger children to learn through a variety of experiences and play. This week our theme was The Bakery! The boys had a lots of fun in their groups, playing at different stations – making playdough foods, improvising at the bakery, using baking utensils and objects at the sand area, and drawing, cutting and decorating gingerbread people at the craft area. Both classes have also been reading The Gingerbread Man in class, so as an added surprise they decorated their very own gingerbread men in the breakfast club, they didn’t last very long – they were delicious!
