We’re Going Co-Ed!!

We’re very excited to announce that from September 2026 we will be going Co-Ed at St. Finbarr’s! The Department of Education has approved the change in status for enrolments from an all-boys school to a co-educational school. This means both boys and girls can apply for enrolment for September 2026. This news is fantastic and a very exciting step for St. Finbarr’s and the Cabra West community.

The Board of Management of St. Finbarr’s, along with the staff, is really looking forward to this new and exciting adventure that awaits us. Preparations are already underway to get the school ready.

We want to thank all the parents who have supported and embraced this change in St. Finbarr’s. This school is an incredible local school, and this change is just another step in the evolution of a school that has been at the heart of Cabra West for over 75 years.

Applications for enrolment are now open. We welcome anyone who wants to drop in and have a tour of the school.
